The notation keypad.
Every piece, file, rank and symbol, on keys big enough for a nervous thumb.
A pawn takes on d8, becomes a queen and gives check, written exactly as it is played.
Piece, file, rank.
Type a move the way you would write it. The keys follow the order of standard algebraic notation, so Nf3 is three taps.
Which knight?
When two pieces could reach the square, Plyfolio asks and offers only the two readings of what you typed, like Nbd2 or Nfd2.
Promotion in one step.
Reach the last rank with a pawn and the four pieces appear. Choose one and the move is written as e8=Q.
Accurate entry.
The keypad knows the position. Keys that cannot make a legal move dim as you type, and x, + and # are completed, so a mistyped move cannot go in. It never suggests what to play. Strict entry turns this off for events that want a plain scoresheet.
