What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. Browsers also have local and session storage, which work in a similar way. The law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, PECR) treats them all alike: a site may use them without asking only when they are strictly necessary for something you asked for. Everything else needs your consent first. This page uses "cookies" for all of them.

How consent works here
- On your first visit, a banner asks.It offers Accept all, Reject all and Manage cookies, with a link to this page. The site works fully while it is showing, and nothing optional runs until you choose.
- Before you choose, everything optional is off.We use Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal set to denied (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization), and Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all.
- If you accept analytics,analytics_storage becomes granted and Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics. The advertising signals stay denied.
- If you reject,nothing more is loaded. We remember your choice so we do not ask on every page.
- We ask again after 12 months,or sooner if we add a new kind of cookie.
Changing your choice
- Choose Cookie settings at the foot of any page, or use the panel at the end of this page.
- If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics straight away and delete its cookies from this site.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site still works, but the banner will ask again.
- To stop Google Analytics on every website, Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The Plyfolio app

Necessary
Remember your cookie choice, and the board view and play speed you picked in the PGN viewer. They stay in your browser, are never used to track you and cannot be switched off. They are allowed without consent because the site needs them to do what you asked.
Analytics
Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits and shows which pages are read, roughly where visitors are (country and city) and what device they use. No advertising features, no Google signals, no cross-site tracking. Off unless you turn it on.
