Stockfish
Plyfolio includes Stockfish, a free and open source chess engine by the Stockfish developers (stockfishchess.org). Stockfish is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL v3). Plyfolio runs it on your device to review finished games, never while you record.
The GPL v3 gives you the freedom to use, study, share and change Stockfish. Plyfolio does not restrict those freedoms, and nothing in our terms overrides them. Stockfish comes with no warranty, as the licence says.

Where to get the source
The source of Stockfish is available from the Stockfish project at github.com/official-stockfish/Stockfish. The exact source of the version in each Plyfolio release, with any changes and the build scripts, will be published at [source address to confirm], alongside the full licence text.
In the app
From the app's package file on 5 November 2026. Libraries planned but not yet added (Stockfish, Bluetooth pairing, iCloud and Google Drive sync) will be listed when they are.
